Dr. Connie Buckingham (PhD)
Bio
Dr. Connie Buckingham (PhD) is a psychologist by training and an entrepreneur at heart. Over the past 16 years, she has founded and successfully sold a multisite allied health practice in Victoria, completed an 11-year journey to earn her PhD in psychology, and developed Social Stencil—a social and emotional wellbeing program now used in schools and clinics across Australia.
A passionate advocate for neurodiversity, Connie is a regular speaker at state and national conferences, sharing insights on social-emotional learning for all young people. She also mentors allied health sole traders, supports the profession as a committee member of the Tasmanian School Psychologists Association, and recently began a new academic role as a research supervisor and sessional lecturer at the University of Melbourne.
This year, Connie is set to publish a children’s book about kindness titled A User’s Guide to Raincoats, which will form part of her newest wellbeing program for junior school students. Connie moved to Tasmania three years ago with her husband and two daughters, bringing a newfound sense of work-life balance into the mix.
We are so excited to have her as one of our panellists at the Hobart Female Founder Festival.
