Kickstarter Challenge 2024 Winner: Rosie Dumbrell
We are thrilled to announce that Rosie Dumbrell, a Melbourne-based physiotherapist and entrepreneur, has emerged as the winner of the Kickstarter Challenge 2024, taking home the top prize of $30,000 in equity-free funding. Rosie is the founder of Everform Therapywear, a groundbreaking brand on a mission to revolutionise activewear by addressing the needs of women facing pelvic floor issues, including incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain.
As a physiotherapist and yoga teacher, Rosie identified a significant gap in the market for compression wear that genuinely supports women’s health. Her innovative line of shorts and leggings features an invisible support sling designed to provide comfort and relief, particularly during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. The prize funding from Kickstarter will enable Rosie to expand her product line and reach even more women who can benefit from her unique solutions.
“We’ve spent years developing and testing these products on women at all stages of motherhood,” Rosie shared. “Winning the Kickstarter Challenge at this pivotal moment allows us to enhance our marketing efforts and grow our brand, helping even more women.”
The Kickstarter Challenge, hosted by Enterprising ME and supported by the Australian Government, empowers female entrepreneurs like Rosie by providing the necessary funding and platform to scale their businesses.
This year’s competition received a record 300 entries, showcasing Australian women’s remarkable ingenuity and innovation.
Rosie’s win is just one of the many success stories from this event. Four other finalists, Ebony Kriedemann and Morgan Becker of InPsync, Catherine McDougall of Support Plus, Catherine Said of Gooday Corporation, and Kylie Wallace of Upcycle, each received $7,500 to help grow their startups.
Fleur Anderson, spokesperson for the Accelerator for Enterprising Women, emphasised the significance of the challenge: “This competition plays a vital role in empowering women who often face significant barriers in securing support and funding for their business ideas. It’s inspiring to see so many women demonstrating their potential to transform the economy with their creativity.”
Rosie’s passion and dedication to enhancing women’s health is truly inspiring, and we eagerly anticipate the growth of Everform Therapywear in the market. Here’s to a bright future for all our finalists, filled with success and empowerment!
