Design a Brand That Stands Out—and a Pitch Deck That Wins

Your brand is more than a logo. It’s the emotional imprint your business leaves. Before someone meets you, your brand has already spoken through visuals, tone, and how you present your idea.

What is Brand Design?

Brand design shapes perception. Ask yourself:

  • What do I want people to feel when they see my brand?
  • What story am I telling?
  • What makes us different?

These answers guide your design decisions.

The 5 Building Blocks of Your Brand

1. Logo

Start simple. A clean wordmark in a strong typeface is enough to begin. Avoid complicated icons.

Tools: Canva Logo Maker, Looka, Ucraft

2. Colour

Colour shapes emotions quickly. Start with 2–3 primary colours and 1–2 accent colours. Keep it consistent.

Tools: Coolors, Canva Colors, Adobe Color

3. Typography

Choose one font for headings and one for body text. Match the tone: sans serif (modern), serif (trustworthy).

Tools: Fontjoy, Canva Font Combinations, Google Fonts

4. Imagery

Imagery builds your brand’s mood. Be consistent. Avoid generic stock images.

Tools: Unsplash, Pexels, Noun Project, Humaaans, Open Peeps

5. Tone of Voice

Your brand’s personality comes through your words. Be consistent and authentic. Speak like a friend, expert, or mentor—whichever fits your brand.

Mistakes to Avoid:

❌ Too Much Text: Keep slides simple and clear.

❌ Inconsistent Design: Use a consistent palette and fonts.

❌ No Visual Hierarchy: Guide the eye with size and contrast.

❌ Generic Templates: Make it feel like YOUR brand.

❌ No Narrative Flow: Tell a clear, structured story.
